Lazy - Deep Purple
‘Lazy’ is taken from this British rock band’s album named ‘Machine Head’ . The track features alternating keyboard and guitar solos as the intro, before the main riff falls into place. At 7 minutes long, it is the longest track on this 1972 album.
Deep Purple are, aside from their music, notorious for their seemingly ever-changing line up; Ian Paice (drums) is the only member that has been with the band since their beginning in Hertford in ‘68.
Once listed in the Guiness World Book of Records as the ‘loudest pop group’ and ranked #22 on VH1’s Greatest Artists Of Hard Rock, Deep Purple have sold over 100 millions albums worldwide. Along with the likes of Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin, some consider Deep Purple to be a huge influence on Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, whilst some prefer that their music cannot be put into a genre.
